Solar Energy in Haiti

February 16, 2010

A group in Haiti, ENERSA, started with training from Richard Komp, is being solicited by the Haitian Government, International Organizations and NGO’s to help in satisfying the energy and street lighting needs of clinics and command centers around Port Au Prince in the wake of the recent earthquake.  Read more about ENERSA here (http://j-klam.blogspot.com/2008/12/bringing-light-to-haiti.html). Says Alex from ENERSA “There is no energy available other than some generators, when fuel is available. Solar is our only salvation energy-wise right now. But we have nothing to work with at the moment, only our team who is eager to help out.”  If you wish to donate money to this project you can make out checks to Skyheat Associates, a non-profit public charity, at the address below.
