National Broadcast Premiere in 2012

January 16, 2012

Well folks, it’s been a long time coming. We are so proud and excited to announce the national broadcast television premiere of our film — on Sunday, Jan 29, at 9pm EST & PST, BURNING IN THE SUN will debut to national audiences as part of PBS’ AfroPop series.  Alongside some stellar documentary programming featuring stories of the African Diaspora, and hosted this season by comedian Wyatt Cenac, our film will be seen like never before!  We invite you to watch, and to help us celebrate this story by spreading the word far and wide.

I just watched the premiere here in Northern California on PBS/ afro pop and it was so cool to see Daniel and his success with Solar. Knowing how much it helps everyone and seeing our unlimited beautiful sun being used so freely brought tears to my eyes. Hope Daniel and all his relations are well, Thanks for shareing and all your work on this film. Sincerely, John Hewitt

Hi, I watched this show yesterday. I really enjoyed it and thank you allowing us to view this. I think it’s a wonderful idea and i’m glad that the solar panels are working well for everyone out there. I hope you’re company and team continue to strive.

Congratulations on the beautiful documentary. I encountered it on Maine public television this weekend, and was inspired and moved. I’m currently working as a grant writer for a college being built in East Africa–Bugongi, a rural district in Uganda. Our next step for the project is power, and we were looking for funding for electric lines to the site. Do you know of any equivalent organization for East Africa, that would be able to provide locally grown solar energy?
